During the past six months we have held a life drawing workshop, a fundraising event to raise money for the Australian bush fire emergency , and we had a speaker, Jenny Muncaster at our AGM.

The charity art sale to raise money for animals and firefighters which included work from members of 2d3dSouth and other artists raised over £2,000 in one afternoon.

Jenny Muncaster is a successful artist operating in the commercial world as well as in a teaching capacity.
Her subject matter is based on images of food and drink. Resulting from early work following her degree at Winchester School of Art, she was commissioned by the fledgling Hotel du Vin in Winchester. This early commission resulted in a ten year commission to make over 700 paintings for the expanding hotel chain.
This was followed by an introduction to Raymond Blanc who was setting up his Brasserie Blanc in Winchester. He sent her some recipes from which she would make a painting. From these early beginnings have come many commissions for Brasserie Blanc restaurants in the U.K.
Jenny believes that there is a close creative link between artists and chefs.
Over this period she has also co - founded The Colour Factory in Winchester, which runs practical courses with a team of artists.
Her most recent work includes demonstrations of the Pebeo range of materials for Hobbycraft at the NEC and a series of programmes on Amazon Prime: The Artist in You.
This talk showed how it is possible to be a creative artist and to survive in the commercial world.

Coming up in April, artists from 2d3d South will be holdinga show at the Yellow Edge Gallery in Gosport.
In May, we will be holding a wet in wet watercolour workshop led by Margaret Ferrone.
During the Hampshire Open Studio period we will putting on an exhibitoin, Colour and Light at The Visitor Centre, Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey.
Individual members will also be showing during this period.

Sue Freeborough has a show at Gallery Pangolin in Stroud: 20/20 Vision which comprises work donated to the Rwenzori Sculpture Foundation, Uganda.
In June she will be exhibiting with Elis O' Connell.
At the end of February, Karen Eames and Rosie Parmley will be showing work at The Bath Art Fair.
