In January/ February 2022 we held our first exhibition after a two year absence, “Emergence” at the Visitor’s gallery, Sir Harold Hilliers Gardens Romsey.
This was well attended, and it was such a pleasure not only to see our work on view, but also, that so many people were able to see artwork at first hand after such a long absence. Following this, several members too part in the April “Flower Power” exhibition at The Yellow Edge Gallery in Gosport. In May, at the same gallery, 2d3dSouth held a show,“ Art Together” which showed the variety of works undertaken by our membership. During Hampshire Open Studios in August, we will be exhibiting in the beautiful new gallery, The West Downs Gallery at The University of Winchester. Various of our membership have been involved with some interesting projects. Sue Freeborough has been selected to exhibit her work in conjunction with Pangolin Gallery at Clearwell Caves in Gloucestershire. This exhibition, entitled “ Back to the Cave” showcases the best of British sculpture, also including work by Peter Randall-Page, Ann Christopher and the late Lynn Chadwick. The exhibition is open from 21st May until 17th July. Jackie Green has her work on show at Bell Fine Art in parchment Street in Winchester. Rosie Parmeley has been,as well as working at the Colour Factory in Winchester, teaching children affected by the Grenfell Tower disaster. Kare Eames has returned from a long residency at The Burren College of Art at the Burren, Co. Clare, where she has been able to explore the wild North Atlantic landscape
